BLHS FFA is awarded $25,000

The BLHS FFA Chapter was formally awarded Monsanto's "Grow Rural Education Fund" in the amount of $25,000 during a presentation on Tuesday evening at the Hector Campus. A total of 22 area farmers nominated BLHS for the grant; along with BLHS FFA advisor Jill Grams, who applied for the funds, contributed towards the grant money that will help construct a 18' x 36' greenhouse at the Hector Campus to be utilized by the Ag Department, Science Classes and Special Education students upon completion. "A HUGE thank you goes out to the local farmers who nominated our school in this process", exclaimed BLHS FFA Advisor Jill Grams. "We are so excited to be one of six school recipients in Minnesota to receive this award!" DELALB Asgrow District Sales Manage, Blake Niehues is pictures also with the BLHS FFA Officers, BLHS staff, school board members, and area farmers who helped nominate the district for the grant during the BLHS volleyball game Tuesday.
