AN A.L.L. MUSTANG BANQUET WILL BE HELD AT THE END OF MAY AT THE ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH IN BUFFALO LAKE HOSTED BY KOTTKE TRUCKING. ALL AWARD WINNERS FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR ARE INVITED TO ATTEND.  A $500.00 SCHOLARSHIP AND A TROPHY WILL BE GIVEN OUT TO ONE MALE AND ONE FEMALE.

August B.

August Bergstrom has been a leader in character both in my classroom, in halls of BLHS and in the sports he participates in.  In the classroom, he works hard as a student but I feel it is his positive interactions with his peers that makes him stand out.  He is helpful to peers who may need extra help, he is a team player and is always positive.  He is a great role model!

Agusta G.
Agusta Grams is an excellent student who is always willing to help her peers in the classroom.  She is a classroom leader in Food Science with projects, labs, and activities.  Agusta is also a TA where she uses her skills in setting up agri-science labs, creating study quizzlets for ag classes, organizing FFA CDE materials and more.   She is the current BLHS FFA President where is responsible for leading a team of eight officers, direct work of the chapter to here peers, mentoring younger members and so much more.  She has been instrumental in the success of our small animal teams as she coaches her fellow members in the materials for the contest.  She accomplishes all of this while working two jobs and taking PSEO classes.

Grant P.

Grant not only works hard in the classroom but he also works hard in the wrestling mat.  In the classroom he is helpful both to his peers and to me as a teacher.  He comes in with a smile and positive attitude and works hard to improve his skills at welding.  It may not come as easy to him as others but practices meticulously to improve his skills.  This follows through into his wrestling career.  His actions speak much louder than his record for this season.  He has shown commitment to managing his weight, he is a team player, he works hard at practice and he saw great success in December.  At the Big Bear Wrestling Tournament  Grant wrestled at 106 where he placed 2nd out of 39 teams in his weight class.  His efforts at the tournament helped catapult the BLHS-Hutch wresting team to win the Big Bear Wrestling Tournament.

Sara K.
Sara has exceptional ability in the classroom and on the basketball court. Sara is a great leader and sets a great example for the other girls in our program by working hard, being positive, and putting in extra time. Sara just went over 1,000 career points. She is currently in the top 10 in the state in both points per game and rebounds per game.

Braden M.

I have had Braden in my class since the beginning of this school year and he has done an outstanding in displaying enthusiasm in learning not just in my class, but on the basketball court.  He exhibits a positive outlook and attitude in our community. Braden displays everything that culture of BLHS should be. Braden treats other students with fairness which has made him a valued member of the class. He has compassion for peers and others, and he is a self-motivated student who has my complete nomination for the All Mustang Award.

Alyssa P.
I would like to nominate Alyssa for the All Mustang Award. Alyssa is a great leader and a great asset in the classroom. I have seen how she excels in the classroom, how she works well with others, and how she works to help others to succeed. She is also passionate, has a great attitude, and takes pride in the many things she’s involved in such as: Student Body Co-President, National Honor Society, Student Council Executive Board, Student Council, a Musician, and an Athlete here at BLHS. She takes each of these seriously, works hard, and strives to do her best in everything she sets out to do.

Connor H.

Conner is a great asset in the classroom, a great leader, and is always motivated to succeed. In class he is always gives 100% and is always willing to help others. He is also very respectful to others and underclassmen and has a great attitude in everything he does. Conner also has a sense of humor that is contagious and is always carrying a smile.

Victoria G.

Victoria finished October with another great season for the BOLD/BLHS cross country team.  I have always been impressed with Victoria's work ethic and perseverance.  Although her season didn't start out quite on quite the same level as last year, she worked her tail off all year to get back.  Through each race, you could see that her times were improving and she was catching the team's top runner at the time.  She ended her season as the #1 girl runner for the Varsity team, placing in the top half of the section.  She always has a positive attitude at practice and encourages others to do their best.  Her leadership is impeccable. Victoria is a great candidate for the All-Mustang award not only because of her performances on the cross country course, but her leadership, attitude, positive work ethic, and dedication to her academics.

Tyler M.

Tyler has been an outstanding leader for our football team this season. He has not played since his freshman year, but he did not let that hinder his work ethic and determination to help this team be successful. He is always looking to help the program, whether it be helping with equipment, getting players to practice, or asking coaches for advice. His determination earned him an opportunity for a starting role on both offense and defense.

Audree G.

I would like to nominate Audree for the September ALL Mustang Award. As Student Body Co-President, Audree has helped with several homecoming activities including coronation, hallway decorating, t-shirt sales, daily participation and the pepfest. She volunteered time both before and after school for all the behind-the-scenes responsibilities to lighten the load for her peers. Audree excels in the classroom and she is respectful and thoughtful of her classmates and underclassmen. I feel that Audree has demonstrated the true characterists of an ALL Mustang and is deserving of this honor.
